The M.D.s only care whether the medical treatment has been written up as "proof" in a medical journal. << COMMENT: That's because we know that the easiest person to fool about whether or not something "works", is yourself. Any good controlled and blinded study in any good journal encapsulates more nonbiased experience with a given problem than the average doctor will see in his or her ENTIRE professional lifetime. To completely rely on one's own few and biased observations in the face of that, would be breathtakingly arrogant. Making it rather ironic that this is exactly what many "alternative" critics of doctors do, at the same time they criticise the medical profession for arrogance! Sorry, but the medical profession -- arrogant though it may be--- doesn't even come *close* to the arrogance of its average critics. Not by a mile. SBH |
